Thirst Mechanism and its importance
Thirst Mechanism and its importance
Eating and Drinking
Drink 200 ml water with each meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). If you eat less than 3 roties, it should be 70 ml for each chapati that one eats. So person eating 2 chapatis should drink only 150 ml.
Total three glasses of water a day with each meal.
For example: (200 + 200 + 200 = 600 ml a day) )
Nothing should be taken in between the meals. In case of excessive thirst drink 100 ml water 2-3 times during the day besides meals.
Do not drink any liquid on day 1 except 600 to 800 ml water as mentioned above. If you want to experiment further for better experience you can continue for 3 days. It is expected that 80% of the people will experience increased saliva in their mouth on second day. Some of the people may experience increase in saliva in 3 days (instead of day 1) if they are pre-diabetic or pre-hypertensive or suffer from heart disease.
Pay special attention to concentration of saliva in your mouth before and after starting the above routines. It tells a lot about your health condition.
Only three meals should be eaten during the day with a gap of 5 to 6 hours. This will help in many health conditions including piles and constipation. So do not worry about any side effects during this period of 3 days.
NOTE: Things to be avoided are Milk, Tea (Black/Green/Milk Tea), Coffee, Fruits, Curd, Juices, Cold drinks, Shakes.
People with BP problems should not do it while continuing with BP medicines. They should drink total 6 glasses of water if they continue BP medicines. One can stop BP medicine under advise of doctor or if you check your BP.
