What causes high cholesterol?

Cholesterol is essential for the proper functioning of the body.

Lack of cholesterol causes constipation. So when you are put on cholesterol lowering drugs you are given laxatives and other medicines to help you tide over constipation.

Good Digestion is the first pre-requisite for good health.

So cholesterol lowering drugs is not the solution. It is harmful.

Cholesterol is meant to go inside cells for proper functioning of the cells. It is essential for production of Vitamin D.

Importance of Cholesterol

And these days vitamin D3 deficiency is suggested to be the reason for almost every disease.

Now let us come to the cause of high cholesterol –

Whatever we eat goes into stomach and then small intestines. Minerals in the food are absorbed in blood while food passes through small intestines.

This mineralised blood is added with enzymes released by liver etc. Then this mineralised blood is optimised for optimum levels of minerals by kidneys.

Kidney removes the minerals which are in excess and preserves the minerals which are in shortage.

Now this blood is pumped by the heart to cells. As we age and as kidneys ill treated by us by drinking fluids in most unscientific manner, the energy available for vital organs including heart starts diminishing.

With a weak and slow heart the cholesterol is not able to enter the cells. It causes increase in the fluid in space between the cells. That causes back pain and low metabolism of cells and weak muscles.

That further reduces the RMR. This is vicious cycle.

I was able to avert symptoms of impending heart attack in 2016 by 5 minutes of walking followed with 15 minutes of rest. My stamina to do HIIT has increased significantly by this.

**To increase RMR do the following**

Walk for 5 minutes at easy pace within your home in the morning. Reduce the meal size by 20%.

After walking rest for 15 minutes in bed.

Repeat the above 3 times in the morning and 3 times at night before sleeping.The more you rest after walking it will be better. The recommendation of 10 minutes is keeping in view busy schedule of people. 30 minutes is ideal.

With higher RMR heart will be able to pump the cholesterol and blood harder into the cells and lower the cholesterol in blood.
