Low Sugar Diet

Sugar is bad for health was started by Dr. Atkin. There is whole lot of controversy on the subject. Glance at some facts:

  • Atkin was a Cardiologist.
  • Atkin said that low carbs diet helps in losing weight. He weighed 117 kg at the time of his death.
  • Atkin said that low carb diet is good for heart and he had a history of Heart Attacks and heart diseases.
  • People still believed his comments on heart issues. If I were to administer health in a country, the first thing I would have done is to take back his certificate to practice. He is responsible for more deaths then all wars that have taken place in last 10000 years.

On April 8, 2003, at age 72, Atkins Died. Dr. Patrick Fratellone treated Dr. Atkins from 1999 until 2002, and also worked with the doctor at the Atkins Center. He says Atkins suffered from cardiomyopathy, a chronic heart weakness. But this condition, he says, was caused by a virus not his diet: “I was his attending cardiologist at that time. And I made the statement… When we did his angiogram, I mean, the doctor who performed it, said it’s pristine for someone that eats his kind of diet… Pristine, meaning these are very clean arteries. I didn’t want people to think that his diet caused his heart muscle – it was definitely a documented viral infection.

A medical report issued by the New York medical examiner’s office a year after his death showed that Atkins had a history of heart attack, congestive heart failure and hypertension, and noted that he weighed 258 pounds (117 kilograms) at death. His widow refused to allow an autopsy

Drinking 8 glasses of water  a day

Dr. Bat – www.watercure.com and www.watercure2.org propagated drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. He believed that anybody who followed his water routine could easily live upto 150 to 200 years. Some facts about Dr. Bat:-

  • He died at the age of 74 due to water complications.
  • He had goiter which he said will not affect a person who consumes sea salt on regular basis.
  • After getting himself operated upon for goiter he said he did not know why he got goiter.
  • He said that a person will have perfect glowing skin. I think his own skin was below average.

Tooth Paste and Tooth Brushes

 There have been millions of tooth pastes with various claims to improve dental health. But the fact is –

  • Now a days 90% children gets dental work done before, milk teeth are gone.
  • Earlier when there was no tooth paste and tooth brush 99% children never needed dental work.

Skin Care products

 Most of the shampoos and soaps have serious skin side effects.

  • Soaps and shampoos do no good to the skin or hair.
  • Soaps and shampoos have caused increase in cancer cases.
  • Soaps and shampoos are responsible for increased sun tanning.

Low Sugar intake side effects

Since childhood I have been hearing that high intake of sugar is linked to weight gain and all sorts of Health problems.

My personal experience is that sugar is extremely important for good health. And yes I am talking about added sugar. Yes there is a point in limiting the added or natural sugar. But avoiding sugar like plague is too bad.

95% of the educated people avoid added sugar. I also tried giving up sugar for 6 to 9 months. My personal experiences are –

  • Early black outs while playing sports
  • Lack of quality sleep and Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Cervical pains
  • Constipation
  • And most shocking weight gain of 6 to 7 kg
  • Sugar seemed to give substantial relief to schizophrenia and depression patients as well
  • There are scientific studies which blame low intake of sugar for heart diseases.

The reference value for sugars for an average adult is 90 grams (1 spoon is about 5 grams). That is about 18 spoons a day.

Symptoms of low blood sugar can occur suddenly. They include:

Blurred vision, high pulse rate, fatigue, cold hands, headaches, difficulty sleeping, Tingling, Anxiety, problems in concentrating. Stroke and what not.

I really fail to understand why people who show these symptoms are not advised to check their sugar intake.

Osteoporosis and calcium

My father was a government employee and we used to get the medicines and treatment free of cost in government run dispensaries. In our schools we used to be taught that calcium makes the bones stronger.

I used to like sports a lot. I am not national or international player. I played almost all games. I was always above average player in every game. With proper training I could have made a mark in some sports at least at state level. But I did not pursue the sports professionally. It was fun to play.

When I was a kid, the doctors used to give lots of calcium tablets in each visit to the dispensary for any ailment. Even when I used to complain of cold and cough, along with other medicines we were given calcium. The idea of being strong used to drive me crazy. I used to eat too much of calcium tablets.

By the time I was 20 I started feeling back pain. My ankles used to hurt. I used to trip and injure my ankle for absolutely no reason. But I never took those things seriously.

Now I remember that I used to sweat a lot. All over my clothes I used to have white salt lines. It used to be very embarrassing. I tried everything but salt excretion will not stop. For the first time, this came to my mind while I am writing this note today (16.01.2015). Now I feel so stupid. My calcium intake was higher and so I used to excrete huge amount of sodium.

By the time I was 40 I was told that I have severe osteoporosis. I was shocked. I used to feel extreme pain in my knuckles even if there is a slight impact. I used to have low blood pressure. My back used to hurt too much. I used to have severe constipation. I had kidney stones 3 years in a row. I used to have severe pain in my back. Getting up from the bed in the morning was a big job for me.

I did not like drinking milk. I used to add tea leaves in my milk and used to drink about 250 ml milk with tea leaves a day. That was my calcium intake.

I used to give calcium to my son as well when he was young. And since I used to have back pain etc I again took some of the calcium teblets when I was 30 year old.

My son also used to have back pain when he was young.

Around 40 when I was told that I have severe osteoporosis, I took thing seriously. I started reading about the cure of osteoporosis. For the first time I came to know that there is no cure for any disease with the doctors. For the first time I came to know that that there is no cause and effect relationship between diseases and medicines. We used to read that medicine science has progressed a lot. It all started feeling just like a fraud.

Anyway I kept learning from internet.

Then I day I read about the benefits of drinking water. I started drinking 10-12 glasses of water spread evenly. Every hour one glass of water. Within 10 days all my bone problems seemed to have resolved. I was too happy drinking the same amount of water every day. But soon thereafter I started feeling that the improvement made in bones is slipping away. The negative changes were not sudden. So I could not come to the conclusion that it is increased intake of water that is causing the trouble.

After about 1 year, I came cross web site – www.watercure.com and www.watercure2.org. Impressed with the work of Dr. B I started adding salt to my water. ¼ spoon of salt to my water.

Around this time Dr. B died due to some complications of lungs and water. I continued but with caution. My intake was about 8 glasses of water with ¼ spoon of salt added in each glass of water. One can well understand that my intake of salt in food would also have gone up. All 4 members of family used to drink salt and water for about 18 months every day without a break.

During this period I felt that my bones have become perfect. I had two falls during this period while playing. None due to bone or muscle problems. But the recovery from pain and fall was in less then 2 minutes. That still surprises me. The pain and kind of injury I got on two occasions was enough to put me in bed for more than 6 months. And after 2 minutes I had no trace of pain or any injury.

At the end of 18 months period I found that my blood pressure had shot up to 150/100. I had water retention in my feet. I stopped adding salt to my water immediately. Water used to feel sour. Very odd feeling for about 2 months. In 2 months my Blood pressure was back to 110/70.

After I had started adding salt to water, I had started playing badminton. I started swimming. Before I started salt and water I had tried on a number of occasions to start sports and exercises, but within 2-3 days I used to have fever and severe body ache and I used to stop.

With water and salt I had no fever or body aches.

In and around 2011 I read that scientists have found that there is a molecule in our body which controls excretion of calcium and sodium in our urine. And they concluded that excess of sodium is too bad for our bones. In case we have excess of sodium then calcium will also be excreted. I laughed at the conclusion.

I reversed my osteoporosis by increasing my salt intake. Today I have normal bones. I have no osteoporosis. All thanks to salt.

Now when I look back, I realise the real reasons are as under –

High calcium intake caused higher than normal sodium excretion. So I had low Blood Pressure. But I never realised. I had no serious symptoms of that. When I increased my salt intake excess calcium was excreted from my body and my bones became alright.

Simple Example

White wash is pure calcium. We need to peel off the white wash when we need to apply the white wash again after few years. The same way our bodies must excrete calcium before they can use the calcium for bones again. When there is build up of old calcium in the body, the bones stop absorbing the calcium and there is calcification in the body affecting bones, heart, kidneys (I had kidney stones 3 years in a row) liver etc. We need to have perfect mix of calcium and water for white wash to last longer. Same is true for bones as well.

White Wash is done on walls by having a right amount of Whitewash, (known as calcimine, kalsomine, calsomine, or lime paint) with water. If it is more or less then the correct amount, the flakes will come off of the walls soon.

Even after a very good and professional white wash, the flakes start coming off of the wall after 2-3 years. The reason is moisture, heat and dryness.

When the flakes start coming off, before applying new white wash we scrub the wall and remove the remaining white wash on the wall.

Another thing to note is – the residuals remaining after mixing white wash in the container. This is spent calcium which is of no use and must be thrown.

My father (80 as on May 2014) also had osteoporosis and was bad ridden for more than 5 years. He had both hip replacements without much improvement in his movements. Now he is also on the same recommended system. He is feeling much better. He is independent and walks without support once again.

Now what are my suggestions for beating the osteoporosis?

  • No increase in salt intake (I had to deal with water retention for more than then 7-8 years later)
  • Just do water routine mentioned on the home page of this web site. That is safest .
  • Do the water routine for 10 to 20 days to begin with.
  • After that do the water routine 2-3 times in a month. 4 days at a time.
  • Keep learning. Keep coming back to this web site. I will share all my experiences free of cost. I will never make money out of pains of others.

The above links are of most credible web sites in the world today. But without trying to offend anyone, the above website lists the symptoms of cancer instead of causes. How smoking causes cancer is not explained. Yes some statistical work is done to conclude that those who smoke have more chances of developing cancer.

My personal Views

The way the science is working it is almost impossible to find any cure in reasonable near future. The number of variables is huge. Human body’s health is decided by more than 100,000 elements. The changes in one element impacts all other elements in the body. Let us say changes in the consumption of salt will effect all other elements in the body.

The number of permutations and combination will take more then all computing power of the world.

The body body has genes and DNA which have great adaptability. By the time some knowledge is acquired about one type of elements these would have changed or adapted themselves leaving us where we started.

But one thing is sure not all smokers develop cancer. Less then 50% people who smoke develop cancer. 50 years back, this percentage was much lower. So there are other huge number of factors which lead to cancer growth in humans.

Not all who drink alcohol die of cancer. Same with all types of cancers. So there are processes which lead to cancer and these processes are no where ever identified.

So what is the solution

  • All medical systems are based on Diagnosis of the elements of the body.
  • Scientists are trying to find out which element is less or more in body.
  • Then they try to supplement or eliminate that particular element.

I do not recommend to any one to solely depend on the treatment protocol mentioned on the above link. But while waiting for other medicines systems, one can follow the protocol followed. Usually there is time when the tests and reports are awaited and treatment is planned. This time is usually more than one month.

  • The suggested exercise is to be done for 15 second for each foot about 10 to 20 times in a day.
  • If exercise is done for 10 to 20 days there will be complete relief for more than 5 years.

  • Stand facing the wall as shown above.
  • Place your hands on the wall in front of your shoulders.
  • The leg which pains should be behind.
  • First foot about 4 inches from wall.
  • Second foot 4 inches from the heal of first foot.
  • Lean towards the wall.
  • Push your hips inside till your shoulder, knee and hips are in straight line.
  • Gently press on the heal of the 2nd foot.
  • Do not bend your 2nd foot.
  • Stand in this position for about 10 to 15 seconds. While doing this exercise you will feel that your calf muscles are slightly stretched. Do not apply too much pressure. This is mild exercise.

You will get substantial relief on first day itself.

At least 5 persons got immediate relief.

There are so many exercises for Sciatica Pain Relief which doctors and other recommend.

You might have tried a number of the exercises. But none of them are likely to work for long periods of time. You must be very frustrated with new exercises being told by every new person. Yes you have a right to ask for – What is new or different in this exercise routine?

  • Unless the fluid / blood clotting around is removed there will not be any substantial improvement.
  • Any sudden or excessive exercises will cause more fresh tears in the muscles and will reverse the benefits of the exercises shown above. Just do a little at a time. 15 seconds is more than enough. Mild stretch. Do not try to get 100% relief on day 1.
  • When you stand against the wall with second foot extended outward the muscles are compressed enough.
  • All the blood clots are removed due to compression towards out of the muscles and give complete relief in 2-3 days.
  • It is as simple as that.
  • Please not there is no need for causing you any pain. Do the stretch only to the extent that you do not feel any pain. As the condition will improve the pain will go away and you will be able to do deeper stretches.

Since childhood I had sinus, severe cold and cough, sore throat. No ashtma for me.

As I aged (I am 52 now) my conditions worsened. As a child I was very active in sports and outdoor activities. So none of sinus situations went out of control. I used to recover within 2-3 days. I never went to a doctor as a child for sinus. I di dnot even discuss with my parents.

About 8 years back, my sinus got really tough. I would have whole body pain for upto 7-8 or more days with high fever (above 104 degree centigrade), sore throat. One evening my fever went upto 106 and I was really scared. The pain was not tolerable. The first thing in the morning I saw a doctor. For first time I knew what sinus felt like. I took antibiotics for almost 15 days with pain killers and fever medicines. That situation was really out of control. I had no more strength to fight it out on my own.

Next season the moment fever, whole body pain and sore throat started, I gave up water and all other liquids for 48 hours. I ate normal meals without any restrictions. I remained in bed for all the 48 hours.

After 24 hours, there was no pain, fever and sore throat. I did not take any medicine this time. Nothing except giving up water and all other liquids. And my chest was clean like a slate forever. I never got sinus and sore throat again. Since I used to play, at times I went overboard with my water intake a number of times, I had cold 2-3 times. But even that was managed very well with water routines. No medicines for cold, cough or sinus in last 8 years or so.

The logic seems to be very simple.

  • Our body has 5-6 litres of blood.
  • In 24 hours we will lose about 2 litres of fluid due to dehydration.
  • Loss of fluid will help in reducing swelling. No great science in there.
  • Inflammation can be caused due to excess water or very low water intake. Why low water intake can cause inflammation I will deal later some day. So inflammation gone due to fluid loss and swelling gone.
  • Body heats up and that kills all the bacteria.

Now if I want to share the above details with the rest of the world, people feel that I am going overboard and giving false hopes to people. People abuse me. They deride me. They say it is against medical advise. But no one has made any efforts to point out the medical studies in this field and the results of such studies. I strongly feel that I should help the helpless people out there.

In June 2014, my father (80) had sepsis. Doctors did not tell me anything about the conditions. They did not mention the word sepsis. My father was admitted to best hospital in Delhi. Finally doctors said that he can not be saved. His lungs had failed and all efforts of doctors to revive his lungs failed. Now as per doctors it was his last 15 days. They went to the extent of advising me that I should not buy the vaccum pump to take out his lungs cough, as that will prove much more expensive. I was advised to take the same on hire. So I thought that I should try the same water routine on him. At least I will know that I am wrong and will not endanger my life. But my father survived and is healthy now.

So out of that compulsive behaviour, I spoke to a 14 year old boy on 18.12.2014 evening. I saw eczema kind of wounds on his hand. I asked him if he had seen any doctor about the same. He said he has seen the doctors and he has been told that it is dust allergy. But nothing seemed to be working for more than 1 year on all that. On 3rd day he reported on whatsapp that all his wounds have healed up.

Energy Production – During sleep the metabolic rates comes down to 5 to 10% of the day time metabolic rate. Conversion of food into energy, FAT conversion into energy are stopped during sleep. During sleep only carbohydrates are used. So during this phase the body works for excretion of toxins. All the available energy is used for excretion. Every one knows that normally a healthy person excretions first thing in the morning.

Energy Expenditure – remains at more than 75% of the day time expenditure.

The above links show that as the average sleep hours have declined over last century the prevalence of daibetes has increased considerably. What conclusion one can draw from this.

If the excretions are less then normal the risk of Diabetes increases.

If one sleeps after eating late at night his night time energy production will be even less then then normal. Since most of the food is still lying in the stomach. Lack of energy causes sleep deprivation. Hunger will wake up the person.

Low level of blood sugar during sleep will cause more toxic build up.

What are the results of higher intake of sugar while going to bed.

  • Higher urine output in the morning. Diabetics urinate more frequently.
  • Higher stool output. Diabetics feel intense hunger.

So higher blood sugar during sleep will help in better and higher volume of excretions. Eating sugar in the evening helps in relieving constipation as well.

Lower volume of excretions will mean toxins build up in the body.

Higher levels of toxins in the body will weigh down the cellular system of the body. Causing more calorie and carbohydrate leaks from the cellular system. One of the long term effects of the diabetes is loss of muscle mass and muscle tone.

Two possible solutions for managing Diabetes are –

  • Eating early dinners.
  • Eating higher amount of carohydrates during evening time. That will ensure more urine and stool in the morning. Less toxins.

Diabetics do not consume sugars. So higher level of blood sugar can not be attributed to high sugar consumption. I can think of higher blood sugar as attributing to loss of carbohydrates from cells only. But may be there are other people who can dare to think otherwise.

Now there are lot of people who eat lot of sugars and are diabetic. How does that happen

The moment per unit time energy production is more than a particular range the body shuts down the metabolic pathways. It happens when a person consume alcohol and experiences hang over. Similar hang over is felt after a person has eaten lot of sugar in a short span of time and lies down for sleep. Similar kind of hang over head ache is felt. I call it shutting down the metabolic path ways. That results in low actual blood sugar during sleep. Cause low waste removal in the morning.

Catch 22 type of Situation

Toxin burden leads to chronic inflammation. When inflammation is reduced by following the water routine mentioned under the head inflammation, the antibodies which work to contain the toxins are not reduced. Excessive action of antibodies lead to intense hunger pangs with no toxins to take care of. If toxins were there the antibodies would have been spent causing fatigue and slightly less intense hunger. Excessive eating by itself leads to excessive inflammation. Any food taken in excess leads to inflammation. So the only solution to this problem seems to be same as for taking care of inflammation. Eat 8 to 10 very small meals on day 1 and eating very moderately on day 2. This should be able to reduce the antibodies load within 4-6 days considerably. More on this shortly after doing some small experiments.

Currently none of the above suggestions and cures should be tried by type 1 and type 2 diabetics. This meant for small group tests on prediabetics. I would be carrying out the small tests on a very small group and post the findings later for use by others (mainly type 2 diabetics)

Lower volume of excretions will mean toxins build up in the body.

Higher levels of toxins in the body will weigh down the cellular system of the body. Causing more calorie and carbohydrate leaks from the cellular system. One of the long term effects of the diabetes is loss of muscle mass and muscle tone.

Two possible solutions for managing Diabetes are –

  • Eating early dinners.
  • Eating higher amount of carohydrates during evening time. That will ensure more urine and stool in the morning. Less toxins.

Diabetics do not consume sugars. So higher level of blood sugar can not be attributed to high sugar consumption. I can think of higher blood sugar as attributing to loss of carbohydrates from cells only. But may be there are other people who can dare to think otherwise.

Now there are lot of people who eat lot of sugars and are diabetic. How does that happen

The moment per unit time energy production is more than a particular range the body shuts down the metabolic pathways. It happens when a person consume alcohol and experiences hang over. Similar hang over is felt after a person has eaten lot of sugar in a short span of time and lies down for sleep. Similar kind of hang over head ache is felt. I call it shutting down the metabolic path ways. That results in low actual blood sugar during sleep. Cause low waste removal in the morning.

Insomnia – My thought Train

I wanted to lose some 10 kg weight for a long time.  I tried lot of things except supplements. Nothing worked. I had been listening since childhood that limiting carbohydrates could do the trick.

Atkin Diet

I started looking at Atkin diet on google. I found a page which said that atkin diet could cause insomnia, depression etc Any way I started experimenting with atkin diet. After few days of limiting sugar, while playing I used to feel that I will black out. My energy levels were too low. In about 6 to 8 months I had gained 5-7 kg extra weight. During this period my friend shared with me his experience. He had blacked out and got himself admitted to a hospital for complete check up. The result of investigations were big zero. I also had a number of days without sleep. I had cervical pains as well. I lost my 100% movement of my neck.

My Sister in Law

Next while having dinner, my sister in law said that she has not been sleeping more than 1 days in about 30 days for past 25 or more years. She was emphatic that she does not sleep even for one minute in those 29 days in a month. I asked her the exact time when she lost her sleep. She said it started when she was in hostal of a sports school. The girls in that age would do anything to get an hour glass figure. Specially when you are surrounded by so many hot and able guys all the time. Sense of competition will make you work out few hours extra. All this depleting all the sugar from the body. This lead to constipation as well.

My Father

My father had sepsis at the age of 80. Doctors gave up on him after 1 month in Hospital. So I drew up my plans. First was to get rid of infections. Second was to provide some energy to his failed organs. Third was to save him from seizures. I knew of Sinus and cold and cough can be cured permanently by restricting fluid intake. My father was extremely constipated. After effects of Sepsis was insomnia. By this time I had accepted that anything above our shoulders is caused due to shortage of sugar. So for insomnia and seizures I decided to give him sugar. I had to stop all the medicines. Since I was feeling that medicines were the main cause of all problems. Next 4 and 1/2 months were a breeze without any medication for my father. Today he has no constipation, seizures, insomnia, pains, fears etc. My father has no depression as well. Earlier he used to complain of lot of depression.

Schizophrenia

Same logic I applied on people with Schizophrenia. In short term there was immense relief. Combined effect of controlled sugar intake and water intake as suggested on home page gave complete relief.

A study

I read a very authentic study. It said that obesity is caused due to lack of genes that are responsible for digestions carbs. It said that people who have 4 copies of that gene are 9 times more likely to be obese.

Common Sense Approach

If FAT was that easily convertible into sugar there would have been on use of storing the excess sugar into FAT. So I believe that some amount of sugar is needed to start the process of conversion of FAT to glucose. Same goes for proteins. It takes much higher sugar to convert the proteins to glucose. People who eat too much carbs and are very active are very thin. I am not qualified scientist. So I usually drive clear of big and difficult names.

Milk Causes Inflammation and Diseases

If you look for the food that cause inflammation – milk and diary products are on top of the list. The reason seems to be the raging controversy about the disadvantages concerning milk. It is understood in scientific circles that 95% of the Asian population stops digesting milk after the age of 5 0r 6. So upto the age of 5 or 6 milk does not cause inflammation unless consumed in very high proportions. After the age of 5 or 6 milk and diary products will cause inflammation.

Other top listers include wheat or gluten found in wheat. In certain societies wheat is consumed on daily basis without any break. Whenever a tasty dish is made, wheat consumption goes in over drive mode.

3th category consists of Sugar. Usually there is over indulgence in sugar since it is not voluminous and does not give the feeling of satiation when consumed in excess. Sugar is one of the most essential elements for mental health. Off course right quantity makes a difference.

4th category consists of oils. Same goes with oils. So there are excesses in consumption. Oils are also very essential for the body. Lack of oils will result in constipation, piles and other diseases.

To my mind anything which the body can not digest will cause inflammation since the body has to throw it out of the body without digesting or processing it.

I personally do not thing that the real cause of inflammation is any of these products. Omega 3 and Omega 6 were star products 2-3 years back. Now Omega 6 in wrong proportions is supposed to cause inflammation.

None of the above products are bad per say. Avoidance of the above products will result in over indulgence in other some other products after 2-3 years. Then some news will be coolly dropped that these foods are bad for health.
